Another School District is adding Chaplains! Meet Chaplain Patricia Spore

Chaplain Patricia Spore has served as a mentor at a Jr. High School for the past two years. Patricia has seen, first hand, the great need for the supportive care that chaplaincy brings.

Expanding the Vision

Since becoming a certified School Chaplain, Patricia has captured the vision of the National School Chaplain Association. She began educating the administrators about the value of adding chaplains to their schools.

Conroe ISD, the 5th largest in Texas, said; “YES!”

The concept had been up for vote twice in the past. Thankfully, at this vote, Chaplain Spore announces that the new Superintendent and the School Board have unanimously voted to approve School Chaplains!

Community Involvement

Chaplain Patricia Spore understands that chaplains not only support student, faculty and administrators, but ultimately the entire community.

For example, she recently attended Faith on the Fields involving the 6 Conroe ISD high schools. Attendance was large, but not as large as the sharing of unified joy!

Chapter Meetings Established

Patricia has also established Chapter Meetings in her area of Conroe, Texas. You can attend to hear speakers, collaborate with others and find out more about School Chaplains and your role in this exciting movement
